Prime Italian

Prime Italian at the Hilton Bentley

The Hilton Bentley is home to Prime Italian. A modern Italian dining experience, Prime Italian is a sister restaurant to the famed Prime 112. In fact, they are both located on the famous Ocean Drive right across the street from each other.
Prime Italian’s menu is a classic Italian menu with some twists. There are many dishes that sound familiar but are far from it. The epitome and what everyone talks and raves about is the one-pound Kobe Meatball. While massive in size, each bite is light and tender and full of flavor. The meatball is served in seven preparations: a meatball salad, meatball topped with Bufala ricotta, Sausage and ricotta stuffed and baked in the brick oven, grilled with polenta, as sliders, topping for brick oven pizza and as the classic Spaghetti and Meatball. Other familiar classics like chicken, veal and eggplant are breaded in seasoned breadcrumbs, served with a spicy marinara and Bufala mozzarella. More kicked-up specialties are the Picatta using swordfish steak with fried capers and garlic chips and sautéed broccolini or the classic lasagna only this one has Kobe beef. There is a fully stocked raw bar with East and West coast oysters, Shrimp, Crab or Lobster Cocktails, and a Petrosian caviar selection along with an over-the-top antipasti platter with 500 day aged Proscuitto and a selection of artisan cheeses. The menu also has a selection of the 21-28 day dry-aged USDA Prime steak selections and sauces that Prime 112 is known for. One thing you can say about dining here is you will never leave hungry because the meatloaf-sized meatballs aren’t the only dishes you can share with the table or a small army. Everything is big, but everything is also delicious. You will never be let down by the quality and flavor of everything on the menu or the attentive, friendly waitstaff that is there for your every need. Being located across the street from Prime 112, with all the rich and famous coming and going and the lines of high-end sportscars, sitting by the floor-to-ceiling windows is the prime spot to be. The dining room is energetic, with Sinatra playing in the background. You may also choose to dine alfresco on the wraparound patio, another prime spot. We haven’t discussed one thing, the prices. Using only the finest ingredients, making everything by hand daily and being part of the Prime family brings a hefty price tag. Still, dining at Prime Italian is an experience not to miss. Come hungry and, if you can, with a large group. We can’t finish, and you shouldn’t either without discussing the desserts. There are the usual Italian classics like a light and airy Ricotta Cheesecake and a selection of gelatos along with innovative surprises like a Tiramisu Semifreddo and a Warm Apple Crostada. The Fried Oreo that is so famous at Prime 112 made it across the street, and there is the house’s take on another classic, the Ho Ho.
